Frk was a fairly highly rated prospect a few years back, so there's got to be some ort of upside in the right setting for this guy. Also his release/shot is def world class..

Def. I remember the announcement from the signing spoke highly of his shot.

Detroit has been in a tough spot for a bit. Could it be that his development was hindered there, etc.? Maybe a change of scenery helped him?

It’s been fun watching him so far.

I watch Detroit as a pastime and this was a guy who had potential. He just never seemed to fit. I think he's a gem. A potential 20 goal 45 pt player in the NHL. I wanted the Sens to sign the guy. You guys sniped him. Good for you.

He was good in Detroit in 17-18 in a limited role.

Got a little banged up in 18-19 and got lost in the shuffle.

What's the likely return on TT? Once a 30 goal guy. Most likely at least a 25 goal guy on Boston or Washington. Still pretty young. Would assume he would sign and extension in the right place.

2nd and prospect. Or maybe 2 2nds or 2nd and a 3rd. If someone offers a first he's gone before blake can hang up.

Frk will slide into toff's spot. TM will give him all the chances to keep playing.

The main thing that held him back from securing a bigger role was his inability to create space for himself. His shot is ridiculous though.

I’d be down with a second and prospect, but the first would be...

Interesting. He seems to be finding things space to work now since being called up.

That shot is legit something else. Haha.

He was praised for his ability to create space and use his shot in ontario. I wonder if he has just gotten better with it.

He has definitely worked on his game. I mean we are talking about a guy that was playing in the coast a few years ago with Toledo.

I would use the Evander Kane trade as a template for a Toffoli trade.

Something like:
2021 2nd that becomes a 2021 1st if Toffoli re-sign with that team
2020 4th or 2021 3rd (trade partner chooses on 2020 draft day)
Long shot prospect or bottom six forward

Frk and Grundstrom should've been in the lineup since opening night, IMO. Naturally, they've done well after being called up... because they belong up here. Everyone seems content to praise Blake and McLellan for their acquisitions and fit without asking if the team might be a little better if they'd never been sent down.

Akil Thomas just scored the Gold-medal-winning goal for Canada (and an amazing goal it was) in the last minutes of the game despite not having scored yet in the tournament.

Edit: Here's a clip of it: https://www.tsn.ca/must-s...e-canada-the-lead~1868699

Also, Samuel Fagemo (who won Bronze with Sweden earlier today) led the entire tournament in goals (8) and points (13).

Really good story (link above) in The Athletic (beware: paywall) about German prospect Tim Stutzle. He should be available assuming the Kings pick between 5-10 (I'm pessimistic after last year's draft lottery).
